[OMS_MANAGERS] Important Notice regarding Excellence on Main Award Nominations

Excellence on Main Award application update from Kuri:

Thanks for celebrating good work in your downtown!

As you know we have switched to using our online grant system for the awards. I am super happy to help with the technical part of the nomination as you set up an account and as you create the nominations.

One issue was discovered. I missed two categories in the list of categories. Standout Volunteer (a personal favorite of mine) and Outstanding Special Project.

Since people have started working on nominations…way to go!...I can’t change the application. So here is the work around.

For both of these categories, in the Nomination Category drop down select Executive Manager (or Main Street Manager) of the Year. This will avoid any confusion because we know the managers.

In the Description Category – Enter ‘Standout Volunteer’ or ‘Outstanding Special Project’ At the very beginning of the Description section.

My sincere apologies for complicating a transition to a new process. Change is hard, this year is hard. I just added one more thing to the stressors. Please, please, please don’t let it stop you from nominating!
