This position is part-time, but there is real potential for it to grow to full-time. Estacada is 18 miles SE of Oregon City, 28 miles SE of Downtown Portland, and 53 miles NE of Salem. We're growing, rapidly. There's lots to do and downtown revitalization has been and remains a high priority.

The Community Development Coordinator will act as staff liaison and program manager for the Downtown Estacada Commission (DEC). The incumbent will develop, execute, document, promote, and manage the Main Street(tm) Program in Downtown Estacada and will provide support to the Community Development Director (CDD) and City Planner (CP), performing a broad range of tasks in the areas of city planning, economic development, and project management.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Educating and training DEC members regarding the Main Street(tm) 4-point approach, working closely with the CDD to integrate the Main Street(tm) program, meeting regularly and working closely with the DEC, communicating with committees, stakeholders, and City departments as necessary, managing all administrative aspects of the Main Street program including the preparation of meeting agendas, minutes, as well as all reports required by grant funders, the City, and State Main Street programs, attending meetings and trainings relevant to the Main Street(tm) program and downtown revitalization, assisting the CDD with miscellaneous assignments and projects related to economic development and tourism development, attending or conducting business visits, providing administrative & technical support to the CDD and CP, assisting with the review of land-use applications and building permit applications, long-range planning project management, comprehensive plan updates, making presentations to City Council, applying local ordinances and development codes to projects presented by land developers or the general public, assisting in writing grant applications and monitoring expenditures of grant funds.

In accordance with guidance from the CDC and the State of Oregon, the City of Estacada has resumed normal operations as of 07/06/21. City Hall is open to the public, Monday-Thursday, 7:30am-5pm. Closed Fridays.
