Last month Kelly Humrichouser with the National Main Street Center joined us for a Mornings on Main call and provided us with an update on the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) as well as ARPA funds. After several years of “infrastructure week,” last November Congress did finally pass a mammoth, $1.2 trillion infrastructure law called the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA). This colossal investment can either turn the tide on our nation’s approach to infrastructure or entrench us further in an unsustainable, inequitable transportation system over the next 5 years. Now is the time to shape its trajectory.
