Hy Tyler,
In Albany, our 2022 OMS grant was for the revitalization of a single building. The property owner and the contractor were heavily involved in supplying detailed information for the grant. They also attended the initial training and the reimbursement training provided by Kuri Gill. They are handling the day-to-day. My grant committee chair and I are keeping in touch with them on the progress. We are handling the paperwork for reimbursements, reporting, etc.
Other Main Streets handle this differently – you'll get some great advice here!! It would also need to be different if our Main Street was using the grant to acquire a building for ADA, refurbish a property we owned or take on a group project, like revitalizing the exterior of a block.
Thank you,
Lise Grato

Subject: [OMS_MANAGERS] Executive Director Project Management Roles
Hey everyone,
Hope you are all enjoying your Friday and are excited for the rain! A question has come up regarding the role an Executive Director would play in the day-to-day management of an OMS Grant Project. For example, do you as Executive Directors solicit bids, manage the contractors, and manage the construction itself, or is that something done by the property owner/contractor? I want to see what the best practices have been for each community, thanks!
