Rural Community Economic Development Planning Funding Opportunity
There is an estimated $464 billion dollars that is significant for rural communities through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), the CHIPS and Science Act (CHIPS), and the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA).1 The unprecedented influx of federal funding presents a unique opportunity to leverage dollars and having an economic development plan positions a community to take advantage of these and other resources. The Ford Family Foundation would like to partner with rural jurisdictions creating or updating their economic development plan. Digital Training Opportunity for Oregon Main Street!
Join us on our Mornings on Main call this week to hear about a digital training opportunity for our Network with digital coach Joshua Miller through a contract with Main Street America. This will be a monthly series of virtual workshops relevant to businesses through January 2025, dedicated virtual office hour to provide assistance to downtown business owners, and an in-person roadshow in fall. This opportunity is an extension of the Grow with Google opportunity through Main Street America last year.

Digital Coach Bio
Joshua Miller leverages over 20 years of experience in photography, branding, project management, design, and marketing to empower businesses in reaching their goals. He works closely with clients to enhance their online presence, build brand awareness, and achieve sustainable growth.

As a strategic digital marketing professional with expertise in social media, content creation, public relations, and project management, Joshua supports businesses in the development and implementation of successful campaigns while effectively communicating with their customer base.

Having transitioned from working with large corporations, Joshua now channels his passion into empowering small businesses. He utilizes his extensive knowledge of digital tools to equip clients with the skills and resources needed to thrive in today's competitive online marketplace.

During 2023, Joshua served as the Pennsylvania Grow with Google Digital Coach in partnership with Main Street America and Google to provide training on digital skills to small businesses in rural communities. During this time, Joshua worked in-person and virtually to assist and train over 1,200 participants on digital tools to enhance their online presence and become more efficient in their day-to-day operations.

As a Pennsylvanian, Joshua finds joy in exploring the state's beautiful scenery with his family. When he isn't working or with his family, you will likely find him on the streets or trails running with his four-legged friend.

Joshua is eager to connect with you and learn about your business and goals to customize a strategy to ensure your business reaches its target audience and achieves its full potential.
