Hello local heritage preservation partners!
The Oregon Heritage Commission is gathering input from the heritage preservation community to help inform the update on the statewide Oregon Heritage Plan.
Since all of you are deeply involved in local preservation efforts, we have a dedicated an input session just for those participating in the Certified Local Government program, Oregon Main Street network, and designated Heritage All-Star Communities.
Below is the information for that input session along with some additional information about the goals of this process, please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions.

Oregon Heritage Statewide Plan input session for CLGs/Main Street Network/All-Star Communities - online, Nov. 12, 10:30am-12pm
The Oregon Heritage Commission is in the process of updating the statewide Oregon Heritage Plan (you can see the current plan here<https://www.oregon.gov/oprd/OH/Documents/2020_Oregon_Heritage_Plan.pdf>). This plan is different than a strategic plan because it's a call to action for heritage efforts across the state, at the local, regional, and state level, to unite around common goals. The resulting goals of the final plan can help do the following:

  *   Align the Heritage Commission's initiatives and technical assistance with helping heritage organizations working towards the identified goals.
     *   The Heritage Commission provides grants, resources, and develops initiatives to find solutions to address collective challenges that those doing heritage preservation work in Oregon have in carrying out their missions.
  *   Provide a framework for other statewide service organizations and agencies to align their programs to help heritage organizations work towards these goals
  *   Provide a framework and support for local heritage organizations in prioritizing and planning projects and processes and getting support from partners, stakeholders, grant makers, and decision makers.
