It's the Same Mailing List (was Re: [or-roots] CAN YOU MAKE THESE MESSAGES STOP?)

Pat,

Apparently you were subscribed to the old "or-roots"
<or-roots at archive14.sos.state.or.us> mailing list. Yesterday we received a
welcome message that welcomed us to this new
or-roots at sosinet.sos.state.or.us,
but unfortunately  it was not made clear that the old list had been moved to
a
new address. As far as I can recall there was no prior notice of this
happening,
so it was kind of a surprise. Living in Oregon I recognized the new address
and
figured out what was happening, but I imagine a lot of other people just
figured
they'd been spammed. It's the confusion that's generating all these
messages, but that will die down after a while.

As can be told from the many messages coming in, a lot of people trashed
yesterday's message, probably thinking it was the usual monthly help file
message
or at least not applicable to them. That message contained instructions for
subscribing and unsubscribing, or you can check the tag at the bottom of
this
message.

Bottom line: if you want to keep receiving the OR-Roots messages, you need
do
nothing. If you want to unsubscribe, you should find yesterday's welcome
message
and read the instructions or check the web site in the tag.
