Okay, before I launch into the subject at hand I guess I'll whine about not
being able to join the SDOP, my gram's family was in  Del Norte Co. Ca in
Dec. 1859 cause that's where Great Unlce 'Rell was born, next sib was born
in Slate Creek, Josephine Co. Oregon in 1862 so it was a near thing. I
probably have collateral relatives who were here earlier. At least I qualify
as a S.N.O.B. being 3rd gen on Mother's side and 2nd on Dad's with over a
hundred years now on both sides.

Anyway relavant to Christmas shopping I mentioned in previous email I was in
Coos Bay shopping and ran across a couple of things I feel compelled to
mention;

First if you have any connection to a Miss Frieda Hoffman who resided or
visited variously at Portland, Salem, Seaside and other Oregon locations in
the era ca. 1915 - 1940, guessing here as most not postmarked, sadly, there
is a trove of postcards to said lady at a antique store in North Bend.

Now the real heartbreaker was the shop around the corner; She has a photo
album sold to her by the family because the prominent figure in this album
was apparently someone that the recipients of her estate detested;

The photos are mostly without caption, or with real informative things like
"Ma" but I did note the following info that might make it identifiable;

Alfred L Callahan
Moehle Snook        1940
Mildred, Mom, Flo and ? (couldn't read last) in the Seatlle area in about
1941

As I understand it there are several loose photos also from this same
source, apparently some in the Coos County area and some in
Washington/Seatlle area from perhaps 1920 to 1950, give or take.

If any of these names resonate with anyone they need to get in touch with me
so I can talk about trying to get them to family. The asking price for the
photo album was around $56 and the post cards are $2-3$ apiece and I make no
guarantee how long they will stay there.
