[or-roots] spelling

This "Blue" mystery is a puzzle to me too. There was an artist in
Portland named Bob Blue, who was a friend of my sculptor husband. And
then there is historian Lucy Blue in Lincoln County, who I cannot find
out one tiny weeny thing about. Help!
