Bill,
This is what was printed awhile back in the Medford newspaper:
Near their land is Roxy Ann Peak a dominant point directly to the east of
Medford (and visible from most parts of the city) named for Roxy Ann Bowen,
wife of John B. Bowen, after the couple settled near the base of the peak in
the 1850s according to the reference book "Oregon Geographic Names."
Since John B.Bowen was my g-g-grandfather, I'm stickin with this story.
