[or-roots] Winter of 49

[Charles Darneille]

Was stationed on McChord AFB that winter, lived in very small aptmt in Spanaway where the lake froze from shore to shore.  
As the military always does all personnel were told to go home at height of storm and no vehicles were allowed to leave the base.  Walked home and by that time the storm had abated and I was nicely wet and cold.
