Hi Roselie;

I read your story on  or-roots mailing list  about Day Ridge and the Bork
family.  What a surprise.  Never can tell what one might read on this
list.
The summer 1941, I worked  for the John & Cora Casteel family on Day
Ridge
ranch.
Did you by chance know the Casteel's.  Being a city boy of 15, at the
time with no experience
of farm life it took me a while to get the hang of things.  My job was to
do the chores.  I went over the Bork's farm almost every day to get our
