Osiyo, Dan, Or-rooters,

Well, no, I don't know all what happened. I agree. But, I used to be a
Cecil too, on another list. I was a list hog, because I was so into
genealogy, and history, I loved it so much, it became such a hobby.
Sometimes you can get treated unfairly, and picked on. You do good work,
people get jealous. They can find something to post too, find a topic they
can go off on too, rather than look at Cecil and his good work, and be
jealous of his work.

Though, I never made threats or hate mail to anyone, I merely stated how I
felt, and never made threats. No one should do that, but perhaps people have
made this gent, Cecil, so upset, they won't talk to him, they just want to
pull the plug on the fellow. It seems like his work is good. That is all
that should matter. When Cecil is asked to not post long URL's or whatever
is going on, no, Cecil shouldn't do that, but what is wrong with long URL's
to other websites?

Dan, maybe you and Cecil should talk. Dan is a reasonable person. I have
dealt with him too. Sometimes it is hard to convey your tone, and emotions
with electronic communication. Your voice and tones can be taken the wrong
way. Cecil should not have to worry about his Family Tree-Maker being swept
up by any group, Rootsweb, anyone, that is his work, and as I am sure it is
copyrighted.

Yes, everyone on Or-roots and other Rootsweb state message boards can find a
topic, like wagon trains to Oregon, and list their own little topic. It
takes a little creative mind, and bingo, go down to your local library, and
start finding a topic to post! Cecil can post, and so can everyone else, and
this message board will make everyone around the country want to be on
it...win awards!!
