[or-roots] History of Montavilla, OR

Help - I need to know for certain the date of the incorporation of the small 
town of Montavilla with Portland, OR. 

My mother, Rhoda Napier Cooper was born in Montavilla April 14, 1907. She 
stated that Montavilla was not incorporated with Portland until 1908. However, a 
book by E. Kimbark MacColl gives the date of incorporation as 1906. Can anyone 
give me the correct date for certain?

I am writing a story of my life growing up in Montavilla and Parkrose during 
the Depression and WWII and would like to have the facts correct.
