Ray:

Good, you are close and have already done a lot of research.

The cemetery on Richardson's Gap is Providence Cemetery; behind the Providence
Church.  The group using the building calls it Vinyard Church;
that is what the sign says at the road. There are some other Powells
buried there that are not related to my Powells.

There is a Powell Cemetery at Berlin area, Linn Co. In fact it is close to
Corvallis. It is called berlin Cemetery. The one I was thinking
about is located S.E. of Lebanon.
I have never got to the Powell Butte Cemetery. I hear there are
 Powells buried there too.

I can copy my maps and directions to find the cemeteries and mail to you
if you want me to.

Do you have the book, "Visitor's Guide to Oregon Historical
Cemeteries"? It is a wonderful source and very well done by a
good friend of mine. I can give you the address to get it. It
is published by Oregon Historical Cemeteries Association. It is
about $15.00 but I have already got more than my money's worth.

The Powells in Portland are from John Powell and connected with the
Powells in central Oregon. POwell Butte, off Division was named for
that family. That is in Portland.
