I have several of the Mike Helm renditions of Fred Lockleys works and in
one of them he explains that he received most of his information from the
many notebooks of Lockleys work held in U of O library.  I have some of his
articles as cut out of the Journal and put in a scrapbook by my
grandfather.  Aileen
