I have heard and read of your names of the Nez Perce Tribe. Infact, Jesse
Redheart is the great grand nephew of Chief Joseph. He is alive of course
and did a "Pepsi" commercial on tv some years back.
It would be neat if you could go to The ceremony at Fort Vancouver. It's
held every year (June) to have a Memorial for the two year old child, that
died while in Captivity, at Fort Vancouver, from back in 1887? I think it
was. The Redheart Band of Nez Perce were Imprisoned for [18 months?] for no
reason. They were in western Montana hunting and peaceful, when the Army came
and captured them. Put Leg chains on the men and made them walk a long ways.
I have been to the Ceremony several times & always wanted to approach: Jesse
Redheart in person, But he was in a wheel chair and I was shy.
