My apologies to everyone ----I did respond a bit defensive. Our family has
in the beef business in this county since the late 1870's....the longest
still in the business in this area. I have read of the trials and
tribulations of our ancestors. I see the shaky future of our children in
agriculture--and any other natural resource business. When such lies,
nonsense, fabrications and what ever else come out in a way that degrades a
respectful profession, I have been getting on my "high horse". It costs us
bundles of money, that could go into improving our businesses, to fight
these lies. This idiocy gets into the schools. If told long enough it
becomes fact...like the Hitler regime.
For the love othe the land and being stewards of that land---today there are
not financial rewards. We have a home, raise our children, and hopefully
can remain here until another generation takes over. But, more and more,
this is not the case. We cannot afford to hire families to help. We have
to do all the labor by ourselves. Our bodies are getting to be rather
creeky. . The economy, positons of bureaucrats, eco freaks, spiraling
costs, and folks who believe in importing their very existance,
practically---are ruining this country. Can we even clothe ourselves
anymore with garments made in the United States of America? Our resources
are being wasted. And, we will not be able to feed ourselves.
Learn a lesson in the histories of other countries....we need to take heed.
This is history---this is family history.......this is genealogy. This is
our past and our future.
