John was a part of the Church of Christ restoration movement and
followed the Davidson’s and Murphy’s from Illinois to Polk County, Oregon in
the early 1850's (Arrived in Oregon 9/20/1853, jgs). Obviously, John died
shortly after his arrival to Oregon. Almira, his second youngest child,
married Hosea M. Davidson and remained in Oregon until Hosea's death after
which she moved to Idaho to live with her daughter and son-in-law. In the
1880 US Census we find Mary Kramer, John's wife, living with her son, Samuel
G. Kramer, in Walla Walla, Oregon. See notes under Samuel G. Kramer.
