Very Old Family Photo Album / Want to find it's Family
 Author: Nancy Adams
Surnames: Clemmer, Haas, Carson, Wasson, Schaffer
 Classification: Query

Hi!
I have a very old family picture album, about late 1800's up into the 1900's
I worked for a second hand store in Grants Pass, Oregon in 1986. This
picture album was going in the garbage, & couldn't let that happen. I have
hung on to this very special lost family treasure for 18 years now!

There may not be any family left to this old album, I don't know, but I need
to try & find them.
I FEEL THE FAMILY THAT OWNED THIS PHOTO ALBUM, MAY HAVE DIED IN:
about 1986 in Grants Pass, OR.
The owner of the second hand store would buy unpaid storage units that
people left behind.
Here are all the names I found:
Minnie Clemmer..Mom's 80th birthday, taken Sept. 7-1951
Clifford Haas
Kenneth Carson
Viola Carson
Bill Carson
Harvey
Henry
Minnie
Mrs. Schaffer
Hattie
There's a newspaper clipping: Sept. 24, 1938
(about rule by force)
Wasson Reunion
Elsie & Chuck Haas
Chuck Haas
Al Clemmer
And (Lady the Dog)...1949

There's a picture of a meeting house.
It says on back of picture:
Birminghouse? Meeting house.
Near Chadd's Fork, PA.

There is a photo of a very large group of men and reads under the Photo:
KNIGHTS OF THE PYTHIA

There is a lot of Pictures. My sister said when I showed her that the
pictures are very old, & when they were taken,
the kind of film they used was like film from another country.
Better film than here in the U. S. at that time.
There mostly color & very beautiful.
I sure hope Some one will recognized these Surnames.

What is neat here is the surname(Haas)is in my family & they were from PA. .
.PA. Dutch, or Mennonites.
They came from there on the Oregon Trail, second wagon train to ever travel
it. Surnames in my family are:
Plank, Hill, Lydall, Miller, Smith, Keck, Housouer, Yoder, Yost, Stevens,
McCubbins, Flanagan & More.
I also have family in Grants Pass, Rogue River, Gold Hill Oregon..Diess
Family & more.

Thanks! Nancy
