Pat;
I'm sorry, I was just wihining, not looking for help, after I got through
sending that, at which point I had concluded Julie/Julia had to be a second
wife, I started keying in my new findings and ran across a reference to a
letter from a cousin on this family, went back and checked and Rhoda is
listed in a cemeter listing by LDS as dying in 1897 so for sure either
somebody was changing facts or loosely interpreting the intent of the
questions. One hyposthesis I have is that Julie probably didn't mention how
long she had been married and Minor/Omner/Martin/Minard/Mynard was giving
his aggregate years of Marital Bliss. I say aggregate because I now wonder
if the mother of his children is Rhoda, or she was wife No. 2 after Reba
died between 1860 and 1870. Someday maybe I can get ahold of Cayuga Co., New
York birth records or marriage records to be sure.
I imagine you had a real hard time trying to help me, and I am sorry about
that, the surname is Bogart and is another cross to bear as the Census info
rarely has it right and unfortunately LDS and HQ indexes more often than not
get it wrong even when the Census taker gets it right. they had it right in
1860 when the read his given name as Omner, in 1870 I am not sure, because I
had to find him by finding a neighbor, so that is how it is indexed on the
page I saved, I think it was Martin Bogort, in 1880 and 1900 again it was
right, but Minard/Mynard.
My favorite though is his little sister in 1880; Isaik LEN Feba LEN that is
how she; Phoebe and husband Isaac Loeb are indexed by LDS.
Again I apologize to anyone who tried to help me on the meager info I whined
about last night. I just spent half an hour tracking down one of Minor's
cousing in Wisconsin by using the age place of birth etc search and knowing
what town to look for him in, when I found him, HQ had his last name indexed
just the way it was supposed to be, but when I pulled up all people with
that last name in WI in 1900, he was NOT listed.
So a word to the wise, just because you can't find them, doesn't mean they
aren't there, sadly the only way to be sure is page by page if you know
where they should be and of course if you are looking in an area that the
film is poor quality, that might be a lost cause too. I got lucky Minor in
1860, as the only way I was SURE it was hime was the names and ages of his
children, a few family above him the ink was blotted on almost all the
childrens names in one of his neighbors families, if the blots had gone all
the way down the page I probably wouldn't have found them.
Shut up already les, again my apologies for an incomplete whine, if I'm
gonna whine it should be complete.

Les,
Trying to look this up, to get a different "eye's" take, can't find Julie
Mynard in 1900, NY as you
listed. Did find a Julia A Mynard, Perry, Wyoming, New York, b 1837 in NY.
Maybe I mixed up the combination of names/dates/places? What was uncle's
name? The Julia I found was MiL
and FiL was Andrew H.
I didn't even find an Omner in 1860 who fit the bill.
I couldn't find a Charles Martin married to an Amy in 1880. So, you see, I'm
clearly not reading your
paragraph correctly.
Tell me more? Where in New York did they live, for example.
