Bonjour,
I'm sure you will be pleased with the BLANCHARD List.they have done lots
with DNA in verifying the various branches. You could first send out a
query and then check the list archives.
Do you tie into the Blanchards who were on the Trail in 1851 and before?

My gr gr gr. grandfather, Nathaniel B. Barnes, m. Jane Blanchard. His
older brother John m. Mary "Polly"
Blanchard her older sister. Pendelton in his dissertation missed the
later, and made little of the former.
Nathaniel settled in Kingfield about 1813, and later in the area of
Springfield about 1830. He and his
wife are both buried in Lee, Maine. I have not been on the Blanchard
List but will join in.
