I went to the State Archives on Friday and looked up some information that I
was wanting.

I had the note regarding the Cynthia Hayes on the Oregon Death Index and
whether it might possibly be your ancestor.

Cynthia A. Hayes was born Jan 18, 1844 and died Dec 17, 1914. Her
birthplace is listed as Indiana and her father's name is listed as Jonas
Fulmer. The person providing the information was Ezra Hayes, Newberg. It
does not mention the relationship of Ezra to Cynthia. It lists place of
burial as LaGrand, Oregon.

Based on the earlier information you had discussed, this does not appear to
be your ancestor. I did get a copy of the death certificate if you are
interested in that.
