Okay folks, are your Atterberrys from South Carolina?  It is another of 
those names with numerous spelling variations.

Samuel Burr married Rosetta Simpkins, daughter of Noah Simpkins and 
Rebecca Bennett Aturbary / Atterberry.  Rebecca is the daughter of 
Nathan Atterberry, born on 10 Aug 1803 in SC., and   Maria Butler.  They 
were married in 1824 in Wayne County, IL.  Some info from James and Lois 
Branch of Troutdale.

Also have Edeburn from Pennsylvania,. which has sometimes been said to 
be Attaburn, which is a lot like Atteberry, which could be Atterberry, 
but probably isn't.  Maybe.
