Good for you to find these. As to the "F" and "T" I haven't found it in the
1900, but sure do in the earlier censuses, as the "F" and "T" were much
closer in looks than today.

Last week I had a Trent - Frantie - Frent in three different censuses.
Should have been Trent in all three.

This was not, in all cases, the transcribers problem. As I recall the
"Frantie" was spelled out by the enumerator that way. Probably couldn't
read his notes when he went to do the master copy.

Check this out;

Surname GivenName Age Sex Race Birthplace State County Location
Year
FULMER GEORGE W 38 M W NY WI WAUKESHA OCONOMOWOC 1860

Surname GivenName Age Sex Race Birthplace State County Location
Year
FRILLNER GEORGE 47 M W NY WI WAUKESHA OCONOMOWOC 1870

those are the same person and the following is one of his sons who married a
cousin of mine.

Surname GivenName Age Sex Race Birthplace State County Location
Year
TULMER WASHINGTON W 49 M W WI WI WAUKESHA OCONOMOWOC 1900

Doesn't everybody look for F surnames under T? I sure intend to remember to
in the future. Don't know why I didn't think of it, but if he'd been John or
Robert or something I'd of probably never found him.

So it goes.
