I have a question. Is Prairie City still called that and has that
always been its name?

I wasn't able to read the Casebeer piece either, but if someone really
wants the article, I will ask my Grant County friends if they would get
us the full article. I think Bob mentioned before that he didn't know
Marvin Casebeer. Marvin & his wife Ruth had each been in the military,
& we knew them through the now defunct Prairie City Lion's Club. I
regularly read Grant County obituaries, without subscribing to the site
& some current articles can be read fully. Sorry - I didn't mean to
mislead anyone with those links.

Is Mr. Casebeer still on this list? The Grant County, Oregon - Blue
Mountain Eagle newspaper has an article about Marvin Casebeer, with
photo. The article is about:

PRAIRIE CITY - Following a couple years of "indirect" employment with
Greyhound Bus Lines after high school, Heppner-native Marvin Casebeer
was drafted into the U.S. Army in spring 1941.
