I'm sorry.  I was hoping someone might have a quick answer on who the two communities were named after - which of the Vinsons was Vinson named after, and who was Lena.  I drive through the two communities, and I have relatives in both their cemeteries, I discovered this week, but I don't know the history of either community.

I am confused by your question.  My ancestors were from the Morrow County, Hepner area.  The Ghost town of Hardman to be exact.  They have a great website.

I have just discovered family connections to the communities of Lena, Morrow County and Vinson, Umatilla County.  They neighbor each other on the back road from Heppner to Highway 395.  Can someone look them up and give me the short version on how each got its name?
