My Sympathies to your family Dan M! That must be as hard as a house fire
to recover from. If you're in Oregon's high desert, which can be several
places I know of, at least your PC won't be plagued with mold. Good luck with
your reconstruction of your genealogy files.

In time I can come up with a picture.
I am still recovering from a move to the high desert and a trashed trailer
house that was wrecked by the guy towing it for us and a computer that
cant decide to work after the crash so I got a new lap top and just re
starting things all over.

cemetery only has I.O.F on his stone and a war marker says he was in the Wiss Inf

maybe the stone carver was dyslexic? Inept? Heavily intoxicated?
