There are a number of Picketts buried in the Canyonville Cemetery, starting with James S. (b. 1830 d. 1895). Picketts were pioneers of Canyonville and Douglas County and descendents still live here. And, of course there is Pickett Butte in the Umpqua N.F., the site of a well-known fire lookout.
