I've never seen a request like this on here before but I'm hoping someone
can help - or suggest another thing to try.
I have a subscription to GenealogyBank.com and have been having great fun,
as well as great success searching historical newspapers for items about
Junction City, Oregon. Yesterday I came upon one that is particularly
important to our history but it is only the first part of the article -- and
nowhere could I find to get the remainder. (Apparently when the newspaper was
digitized, they didn't do the jump.) Here is what I have from the "Morning
Olympian" from 21 September 1895:
THE DEADLY SHOTGUN
Eugene, Or., Sept. 21. -- M. B. Pitney of Junction City, was
instantly killed today by the accidental discharge of a shotgun.
He took hold of the muzzle to draw it out of a wagon. The trigger
. . . . . and that is where the story ended. Can anyone help?
