[or-roots] GG in Pike County, Missouri- Brick Wall

OK, Sue!...My 2nd gr grandmother was Jane F. Moss (9 Oct 1821-27 April 1859) , married to Jeremiah Cleveland Vannoy in 1843, Pike County Missouri.  They had 6 girls and 1 boy--the boy died early.  Her birth and death dated aren't verified--from an on line tree years ago--owner said she got them from her mother and had no sources.  All references for place of birth say KY--even her kids listed mother's place of birth there in census information.  Am looking for her parents.  Many Moss names in area--she just doesn't fit any of them.  Have searched death lists for a younger male Moss--since she married at 22 she could have been a young widow and Moss wouldn't necessarily be her maiden name.  No luck!  Years ago I was active on a Rootsweb Moss mail list, and had nibbles that didn't prove out.  Husband, widowed a second time, came to Oregon in mid-1860's, first to Corvallis, then to Merlin in Josephine Co., with his 6 girls.  I have his lineage
 back to his immigrants in 1685.  Their daughter, Mary Jan Vannoy Holder (widowed) was the 3rd of 6 wives of my gr grandfather Dr. J.W. McClure and they lived in Silverton, Oregon.  If anyone has ancestors descending from Vannoy females in Josephine and Benton Counties, get in touch--I have information.
