There any number of reasons why a deceased person might not be listed on 
the SSDI - the first logical reason, in my mind, is this: *_If the 
person was not drawing SS when they died, there would be no reason to 
notify SSA of their death, and therefore would not be listed on the 
SSDI._*   If they were drawing SS, the SSAdmin. would have to be 
notified of the death to stop the payments, so under normal 
circumstances the name would then be included on the SSDI.  So, if a 
person is missing from the SSDI, determine whether they would have, or 
should have, been drawing SS.
