Sherry;
Bear in mind that Oregon had either just started or hadn't quite started requiring death certificates by 1903. Also I recently learned that Astoria had a disastrous fire that might have put paid to any record you are seeking.
It is interesting how the newspaper gossip columns back in the day could think it noteworthy to publish the fact that my grandfather visited his daughter in Reedsport from Gardiner back in the day, but unless you were a prominent citizens chances were that your passing might not be mentioned in the paper unless it came to the attention of the same busybody who supplied the rest of the local gossip column.
I checked state archives index and all they show is the probate papers. They do have a number of hits for
Are you looking for cause of death or information on parents? There are a number of Pearson couples showing marriage dates in Clatsop county that might be relevant if you are fishing for ancestors.

Looking for more information on her, especially her death certificate.
Have combed the Astoria papers at the library and gotten some info
from the Historical society on other trips, as well as her probate.
The death cert is elusive - not listed on the SOS site so am thinking
about checking the funeral home? Wm. C. A. Pohl was her undertaker and
the Coroner at that time. We are visiting Astoria next week and have
an appt with Liisa Penner. Hoping to find the certificate before that,
if possible.
Any suggestions appreciated! Thanks in advance.
