Amen to that.
I always used a big bulky over clocked tower PC that was fast and had a lot of tricks done to it to make it so called better, the room was ill heated, dim, the desk chair was a bit uncomfortable and the key board slider was always just a bit out of proper alignment for my wrists.
Now I have a laptop with 4 gig ram, dont need tricked up, no speaker wires to tangle and I sit at the dining room table near the wood stove all comfy and relaxed, warm and bright and I have picture windows to see out side instead of no windows one could see out of sitting down. Yes, its nice to be comfy and close to the amenities also and I can ever reach the wood stove and warm my coffee cup when it sits to long.
No, the JET set was different, as I look back, would I want to follow the same past if I knew then what I know now, nope!
So, I try to let my kids know a little of what we know, well, thats as far as it goes. They have a fancy suv and one has a bmw and I have a 1976 chinook.
I dont miss any day light either.
Dan M ;))
