I discontinued using Family Tree years ago it got to be to expensive, now use
Legacy Family Tree and it is rated better then FTM and we have a support group
for it here at CCGS, many of us here at CCGS use it, but it does not work on a MAC.

Heritage free has a limit of 200+ people, I think it was 255. Then you have to pay the premium. I have that and its just a leader to get in there and then end up paying for it.
There is an online genealogy prg for websites ( $18 ) a year.
I have ftm 2009, on vista and XP, works great.

Due to a computer crash, I went from a Win 7 to a Windows 8 laptop, I thought I would try FTM again, I had had 2010, but apparently lost the CD's and could not install it. As I was researching for the latest version and if it worked with 8, I was shocked at how many people absolutely hated 2014. I don't think I saw a single good review for the FTM2014 for Windows 8. . FTM was my software of choice since it first came out, but I went to using My Heritage FTBuilder (free "download and use") and liked it much better after the trauma of discovering I didn't have updated GED's and had to rebuild quite a bit of research and family members.

Hi List,
We are still running FTM 2010. We are considering updating to the 2014
release. We have two questions for the List:
1 - Is 2014 running smoothly? I recall some prior releases that suffered
some start-up snags;
2 - I note a box on the order form for a discount code. Is this something
that we should know about before we buy?
Thank you,
Fred & Patti in Madras
After-thought:
Does anyone have any Gusewelle's in their lines?
