[or-roots] The Buttermilk Corner

I spent my child hood in part living on dairies.

I love milk, and all those things come from it.

Yesterday, my wife was reading a website about how humans were the only
creature using milk of other creatures and how milk is not really good for
us.

Well, I am not going to be converted away from milk now or ever, but
that page was certainly convincing we are not supposed to have milk.

BTW, move over, I want some of that buttermilk, then we can go to the
Speck for a great burger lol ;D And Scotties then Waddles and on and on, we
can pig out on all those fast foods that are not good for us too <Grin> I
really miss those places and the ones that looked like coffee pots and such
and A n W!

Subject: [or-roots] The Buttermilk Corner

In the fifties The Buttermilk Corner at SW 4th and Yamhill was a favorite of
mine. There were three huge urns, maybe 30 or 40 gallons each, on a
serve-yourself counter. You paid a dime for a tumbler and were welcome to
all the buttermilk you wanted! I was probably one of their worst customers,
because I always drank way more than a dime's worth.
