The Oregon Tracking Program is seeking an intern for a 200 hour volunteer internship. The intern will complete a comprehensive formal literature review of publications related to the food environment. Oregon Tracking is particularly interested in methods for identifying, understanding and visualizing food swamps, defined as areas flooded with unhealthy sources of food. The intern will also become familiar with Oregon Tracking data, and will use the knowledge gained in the literature review to make recommendations for food swamp measures using data available to Oregon Tracking. Finally, the intern will develop a food swamp ArcGIS story map. The internship may be used to complete masters-level work experience requirements.
