Good afternoon,

OPRD and the Oregon Recreation Trails Advisory Council (ORTAC) are seeking nominations for the 2019 Doug Newman award<https://www.oregon.gov/oprd/Pages/news/2019/Oregon-Recreation-Trails-Advisory-Council-calls-for-nominations-for-Doug-Newman-Memorial-Award.aspx>. The award honors individuals, organizations, or other groups that have made significant and outstanding contributions to promote, enhance, or expand trails in Oregon. Nomination materials<https://www.oregon.gov/oprd/Trail_Programs_Services/Documents/Newman%20Award%20Nomination%20Form.pdf> are due to me by June 30, 2019 via email. Please consider submitting a nomination and forwarding this notice to your appropriate networks or contacts.

The award will be presented at the 2019 Oregon Trails Summit<https://www.oregontrailscoalition.org/summit> in Roseburg, October 3-4. Last year's award was presented to Bruce Ronning at the 2018 Summit in Bend (read more here<https://www.bendsource.com/bend/trail-champion/Content?oid=8338746>).
