Good afternoon,

Payroll Partners can run the "Pay | Expiring Tax Elections" report in Workday to obtain a list of exempt employees that may need to update their exempt status for the 2025 tax year.

The attached document contains detailed steps for running the report to identify exempt workers that may need to update their exempt status for 2025 tax year. You can also find this document on Workday Drive > Payroll Information and Resources > Processes and Checklists > "Expiring Federal Tax Elections Report for Exempt Workers" and  "Expiring State Tax Elections Report for Exempt Workers"

We encourage agency payroll offices to run this report periodically leading up to the Feb. 17, 2025, cut-off date to ensure all employees have updated their exempt status. Employees that do not update their status prior to Feb. 17, 2025, will default to a tax election of Single in Workday.
