________________________________

Good morning,

PEBB has been working with the State Controllers Division and the Workday team on auditing benefits for employees and current processes. We found that since we do things a little differently now that payroll is handled and processed in the Workday system, we need to adjust a few processes.

One main process we have changed immediately is how you process The Standard Insurance premium waivers, specifically, for Short Term Disability (STD) and Long-Term Disability (LTD). These waivers are sent to you and approved by The Standard.

New process effective immediately:

  1. When you receive one of these premium waiver notices specifically for STD or LTD, you will not be making any changes in the system and will need to leave the STD and LTD coverage active.

  1. You will need to manually term or stop the premium in Workday based on the approval date in the waiver letter. For the process of how to do this in Workday, please contact OSPS.

Continue process for other Standard benefits (Opt Life, Dep Life, etc.):

  1. When you receive a waiver of premiums for any other Standard benefit like Optional Life, Dependent Life, etc. Please continue the current process in the PEBB system by using the QSC "Standard Premium Waiver" to term the other approved Standard waived benefits based on the letter from The Standard.

  1. For any retro activity that you are unable to process in the system due to QSC restrictions, please contact PEBB at PDB.Administration at odhsoha.oregon.gov<mailto:PDB.Administration at odhsoha.oregon.gov> for assistance in making the change. You will also need to follow up with Workday payroll to ensure the premiums are waived appropriately based on the letter from The Standard.
