Greetings,

The DAS Workday Support Team updated employees with a 2025 filing status of "Exempt" to a 2026 filing status of "Single" as of February 18, 2026. This was done because federal and state of Oregon requirements have a due date of February 17, 2026, to file a new W-4, if an employee has prior year Exempt W-4 status.

Below are the reports that were uploaded to Workday Drive that contain details of employees that were changed to a tax election status of "Single" in Workday.

Workday Drive>Payroll Resources>Communications>W-4 Exempt Status:

*       2026 Federal W-4 Exempt Status Change

*       2026 State W-4 Exempt Status Change

Attached is a sample email that agency Payroll Partners can use to reach out to employees on the above lists to let them know of this change. Employees will need to update their W-4 by end of day, February 20, 2026, to be effective for the February 27, 2026, payslip.

If you have any questions related to this message, please create a case for Workday General Help.

Thank you,

DAS Workday Oregon Program
