Greetings,
We are working towards aligning time entry and approval practices with the Oregon Accounting Manual (OAM 45.07.00). As part of this effort, we are continuing the work to remove automated approvals for mid-month timesheets as communicated to payroll partners in a “Time Entry Review and Approval Follow Up” message on August 13, 2025.
Our shared goal is that all required timesheets are submitted and approved on time each month for the mid-month payroll processing to reduce any delay in pay and build confidence in accurate pay. Based on compliance data, we are implementing a six-month transition period (December 2025 – May 2026)—during which we will continue mid-month automated approvals to ensure employees are not impacted by missed approvals.
A monthly compliance report is being sent to agency directors with unapproved timesheets for the February mid-month payroll. The report, “Time Entry Mass Approved on Run 2” is also shared with Payroll Partners.
Please note: For February, DAS approved 281 unapproved timesheets on Friday, March 6 at 5:30pm prior to the cutoff date for manager approval on Sunday, March 8. This may impact the results of the report for February. There is an additional tab on the report for Feb. Run 2. The remainder of unapproved time sheets were approved on Sun. Feb. 8, 2026.
The February Run 2 report is available for payroll partners in Workday Drive: Drive > Payroll Resources > Reports > R2 Mass Approved Reports

This report is intended to be a starting point for conversations with employees and managers who missed the time entry deadline and resulted with mid-month timesheets being mass approval during payroll processing. Our goal during the next few months is to reduce mass approved timesheets to zero and help educate staff on the importance of getting time entered prior to the time entry deadlines.
Below are links to the Payroll and Time Tracking Employee and Manager Resource Guides in Workday. As a reminder, these guides contain all of the time entry, review and approval resources currently available for managers and employees:
