I-9 Information:
As you may already know, changes to the document requirements for the I-9 employment verification form were to have taken effect on February 2, 2009.

The implementation of the rule has been changed to April 3, 2009.

Attached are the original notices and fact sheets about the change to the I-9 and a notice about the delay in rule implementation. I’d like to encourage you to read all the documents – especially if you are hearing about this for the first time.

E-Verify Information
The effective date of the final rule requiring certain federal contractors and subcontractors to use E-Verify has been delayed until May 21, 2009.
The rule will only affect federal contractors who are awarded a new contract after May 21st that includes the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) E-Verify clause (73 FR 67704).
Federal contractors may NOT use E-Verify to verify current employees until the rule becomes effective and they are awarded a contract that includes the FAR E-Verify Clause.
