Hi all -

I'm writing to let you know that the Oregon Department of Forestry has rolled out an agency-wide Facebook page, joining our Tillamook Forest Center Facebook page and other social media projects.

Over time we hope to reach some of the thousands of Oregonians who live in urban forests or wildland-urban interface areas - audiences that historically have been hard to reach - and others who are connected to or curious about forests and their management.

I encourage you to "like" the page or participate in the conversation.

NOTE: You may have already "liked" a Facebook page that has our department name, followed by the words "company" or "interest." These are automatically generated in the Facebook system, and are not our official agency page.

You can reach the new official ODF Facebook page and our other social media sites through our main external web site, www.oregon.gov/odf<http://www.oregon.gov/odf>  (click on Social Media under ODF Resources and Services - familiar Facebook and other icons coming soon.)
