RE:      March 20, 2009 NASDSE broadcast

Our next broadcast for the 2008-09 NASDSE Professional Development Series (formerly known as the NASDSE Satellite Conference Series) is scheduled for Friday, March 20, 2009 and is titled: From Computers to Classrooms: Tackling Bullying in Today's Schools.  In today's school climate, bullying has moved outside the classroom and the playground into cyberspace.  With all students at risk, learn about the social and educational impact of bullying and the programs and policies in place to combat them.

Information for the session, including specific satellite coordinates, will be posted on the Department's website at http://www.ode.state.or.us/search/results/?id=258, several days prior to the session.  Local ESDs and schools may host this event through the Oregon Access Network.  For a list of network sites, please go to: http://www.ode.state.or.us/initiatives/oraccessnet/networksites.aspx.

For schools unable to participate in the live session broadcasts, the Department provides taped copies of the broadcasts for rebroadcast and/or dissemination by ESDs and schools.
