RE:  Posting Revised Report Cards and Extension of Timeline for Validation

Special Education Report Card Timeline

*       March 7 - March 18:  District Preview of 2011-2012 Special Education Report Cards

ODE has discovered errors with B4 Suspension/Expulsion data and has revised district report card pdf drafts to reflect these changes.  ODE regrets the errors and apologizes for the inconvenience these changes will create for districts in re-validating the report card drafts.  Please note that displays for Suspension/Expulsion are the only displays that have been revised since March 7.

Revised drafts of the 2011-2012 Special Education Report Cards have been posted on the secure district site for your preview:  https://district.ode.state.or.us/apps/login/.

ODE expects each district to proof its district report and click "Accept" if there are no errors and "Appeal" if there are errors.  The district appeal must provide details of the correction(s) being requested.  However, please be advised that ODE will not change any data that have been submitted and previously validated by the district. *       April 1:  Final Special Education Report Cards Available to Districts
Final pdf versions of the 2011-2012 Special Education Report Cards will be available to districts on the secure district site:  https://district.ode.state.or.us/apps/login/.  No changes will be made on or after this date.

*       April 3:   Public Release of the 2011-2012 Special Education Report Cards
District report cards will be available to the public on the ODE website.  ODE will issue a press release about the Special Education Report Cards and the Special Education Child Count.

*       Report Card formats.  ODE will produce each district's report in English and Spanish.
*       2011-2012 Technical Manual for use in calculating and validating your data.
*       Notes for the 2011-2012 School District Special Education Report Cards for use in communicating the information to parents and community members.  ODE will produce the Notes in English and Spanish.
