Test Improprieties & Accessibility Supports

ODE has received a number of adult-initiated impropriety reports related to the administration of an assessment that is inconsistent with a student's IEP; specifically, all of the statewide assessment accessibility supports identified in a student's IEP (i.e., embedded designated supports and/or accommodations) were not set in TIDE prior to test administration. In light of these reports, we have sent word to Oregon's District Test Coordinators and are soliciting your assistance as well in continuing to encourage special education teachers to work closely with school and district testing staff to ensure the full complement of accessibility supports identified for each student on an IEP are populated in TIDE prior to participating in the statewide summative assessments.
