The Oregon Department of Human Services (ODHS) ONE Customer Service Center is getting a phone software upgrade this weekend, starting Friday, Aug. 18. The ONE Customer Service Center is closed on weekends and the transition will take place outside regular operating hours. It will reopen at its normal start time at 7 a.m. (PST) on Monday, Aug. 21.
ODHS welcomes the upgrade, but the shift may result in longer wait times for people applying for medical, food, cash and child care. While our employees who determine eligibility get used to the new system, people can still get our services in many ways including:
* Call or visit a local office<https://www.oregon.gov/odhs/Pages/office-finder.aspx>.
* Use or create a ONE online account<https://one.oregon.gov/UserRegistration/LoginCA> in English or Spanish.
* Try the new Oregon ONE Mobile app<https://www.oregon.gov/odhs/benefits/pages/default.aspx#mobile> in English or Spanish.
* Contact a medical assister in your community for help with your Oregon Health Plan<https://www.oregon.gov/oha/HSD/OHP/Pages/Splash.aspx> benefits.
Please visit benefits.oregon.gov<https://www.oregon.gov/odhs/benefits/Pages/default.aspx> for more information about benefits and how to contact us.
The phone upgrade is part of a statewide call center transition to a new vendor that the Oregon Department of Administrative Services (DAS) has contracted with. This first phase of the upgrade only impacts the ODHS ONE Customer Service Center. Local ODHS offices are scheduled to move to the upgraded phone system in a future phase and will not be affected by the transition this weekend. Features such as voice signature, language line access and virtual hold remains available throughout the process.

OHA and ODHS are interested in hearing from you about the support you need to support your clients navigate changes to Oregon Eligibility (ONE) System programs that have come with the end of federal rules for the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency (PHE). Please take a moment to respond to the 5 multiple choice and one open-ended question in this survey in English<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfY510wLRbuwhthnT1WCYajuaxHc1VyUox1xtqLx6CoTRzoCA/viewform?utm_name=Keep-Covered071823> and in Spanish<https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdWOsgK4qei1mhi5ncFBkjagQ5ejcqFiZn96O-B9Te8KhP7gQ/viewform?utm_name=Keep-Covered071823>. We are recruiting for our first Open Card community advisory committee! This group is called the Lived Experience Advisory Panel and will begin meeting in late summer/early fall of 2023. We would like to hear if you have any suggestions of people or groups that we should reach out to in our efforts or pass on this information to those you think may have interest.
Open Card, also known as Fee-For-Service or FFS, provides Oregon Health Plan (OHP) benefits to over 120,000 people. These people get either part or all their OHP services outside of the coordinated care organization (CCO) model. Creating a space for members to tell us about the priorities of their communities and the challenges they face is critical to eliminating health inequities in Oregon.
Attached you’ll find the recruiting announcement which includes information about the Lived Experience Advisory Panel and the types of individuals we’re looking to recruit. We are sharing versions of the recruitment announcement below in English and Spanish for easy sharing and integration into newsletters, mailing lists, etc. You’ll also find links/attachments for our application in various formats (applications can also be submitted in audio format, or applicants can contact members of the Recruitment Team via text/phone and email to complete their application). Please share these materials with your networks and to anyone who you think may be interested.
A first round of recruitment will begin in Fall 2023 and end in September 2023. We may extend the recruitment based on the number of applications received. If so, we’ll make sure to reach back out for additional advertising opportunities.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Kassie LeVieux, Jessica Deas or Mariah Andrews at medicaid.engagement at odhsoha.oregon.gov<mailto:medicaid.engagement at odhsoha.oregon.gov>
