Subject: GSA announces decrease in mileage reimbursement rates - effective January 1, 2014

The GSA has announced changes to the mileage reimbursement rates, effective January 1, 2014.

Use the new rates (see below) to reimburse employees for private vehicle mileage expenses incurred on or after January 1, 2014, until further notice.  Use the old rates to reimburse private vehicle mileage expenses incurred prior to January 1, 2014.

An individual requires a medical accommodation that has been documented and cannot be met with a state owned/operated vehicle.

A state owned/operated vehicle is available and is determined to be the most cost-effective form of transportation; however, the employee's manager authorizes the employee to use a privately owned vehicle.
