[Travel_Policy-News] Statewide Travel Policy Updated for 2022 Mileage Rates

Hello Travel Policy Contacts,

OAM 40.10.00 Statewide Travel Policy has been updated to reflect the 2022 auto mileage rates which are as follows:


Private Vehicle Mileage Reimbursement

Effective Date

GSA Rate
No state owned/operated vehicle is available.

A privately-owned vehicle is determined to be the most cost-effective form of transportation.
An individual requires a medical accommodation that has been documented and cannot be met with a state owned/operated vehicle.
A state owned/operated vehicle is available and is determined to be the most cost-effective form of transportation; however, the employee's manager authorizes the employee to use a privately owned vehicle.

The privately owned aircraft reimbursement rate was also updated from $1.26 per nautical mile to $1.515 per nautical mile.

We are currently working through changes to the Statewide Travel Policy due to the issuance of CHRO's Working Remotely Policy, 50.050.01 (https://www.oregon.gov/das/Policies/50-050-01.pdf).
